Does Your Hair Need Biotin?

We all face the problem of hair loss. Some of us keep counting the strands of hair tangled in the hair brush. Vanity makes us worry and we want to grab those vitamins available in the stores to prevent hair loss. But do we know what we are doing? Does our hair need this chemical food? We have to remember that there is no wonder drug that will stop hair loss overnight.

The ads are promoted by savvy marketing professionals and may promise the moon or in this case magical hair growth. If you need treatment, look for more reliable and safe vitamins. Take them after verifying the benefits from a qualified person.

While there are several reliable vitamins available, the popular vitamin biotin deserves consideration. Use it regularly and you will have thick hair. It is not a high potency drug and cannot vie with Rogaine or Propecia. In fact, you cannot compare it with a prescription drug. Biotin however has its own merits and cannot be dismissed before its benefits are discussed. It is common and easily available too.

Biotin nourishes the hair and scalp. It is like food for hair and helps in hair growth. That is why it has established itself in the market as the wonder vitamin for hair. But its benefits may be superseded by other medicines which are commonly prescribed by doctors. That may be no reason to deny the benefits of biotin which already has its place in the sun. It has its loyalists who will swear by it and propagate its advantages.

Let us bear in mind that there will be a certain element of negative publicity attached to any product that gains supremacy. Competition does not take kindly to being relegated to the back seat and will try to dismiss biotin as a product undeserving of its popularity.

It will be deemed inferior to drugs which are prescribed by medical practitioners. But then, we all know that biotin is a vitamin that promotes hair growth. We have not claimed that it is the panacea to all hair problems. Biotin loyalists take healthy criticism in the stride and pay no heed to unhealthy and vicious criticism.
